OUR STAR'S STORY
WHERE WE BEGAN...
Our Star Theatre Company began it's journey in 2016, the day after the company's founder, Ben Mowbray, waved a last goodbye to his college days. Having started by regularly performing in studio theatres and village halls, OSTC now embarks on several UK tours each year to theatres as far as Dumfries and Penzance, bringing professional entertainment that is ''home grown in Herefordshire.''
Ben first found his love of Directing when tasked to direct his sixth form musical, Little Shop of Horrors in 2015. Since then, he has directed every kind of show from a Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime to H.G Wells’ The Invisible Man. Keen to see Our Star thrive, Ben is continually working on ways to expand the company’s reach to audiences, venues, actors, technicians, students and this continues to be his primary aim.

WHERE WE ARE NOW...
Having worked with theatres across the country, Our Star are producers of several professional touring productions, full scale community musicals and proudly, Bromyard's first ever professional pantomime at The Conquest Theatre.
Not just this, we are also proud to boast our highest number of regular school workshops, providing drama based classes to a number of local primary and secondary schools on a weekly basis. Our Star also continues to build great working relationships with our local theatres and is currently the facilitator of both Malvern Theatres' Junior and Youth Theatre.
WHERE WE'RE HEADING...
Moving forward, Ben is excited to build fresh relationships with new venues as the company embarks on its largest tour to date in 2024, as well as working closely with all of Our Star’s long-standing partnerships. We look forward to continuing to bring the UK new theatre experiences made in the heart of Herefordshire.
